ShopGlow Themes

Setup guide

How to set up any ShopGlow theme: install, menus, sections, collection and product pages, cart, colours, fonts and images.

This guide applies to every ShopGlow theme. For theme-specific colours, sections and demo ranges, open that theme's page from All themes.

Quick path:

Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings

Getting started (all ShopGlow themes)

  1. Install the theme from the Shopify Theme Store, then open Online Store > Themes and click Customize.
  2. In Theme settings, set your logo, favicon, colours and fonts. Only Shopify fonts are supported — do not upload custom fonts.
  3. Set your main menu and footer menu. The defaults are main-menu and footer.
  4. Add your products, collections and pages in Shopify admin first, then assign them in the theme sections.

Home page sections

  • Announcement bar: a short store message, editable in the section settings.
  • Image banner: headline, short text and one button. Use your own product or lifestyle image.
  • Featured collection: pick a collection to show as a product grid.
  • Image with text: one image plus heading, text and button.
  • Collection list: show your main collections.
  • Newsletter: collect email signups for your own marketing. Do not add bought email lists.
  • Footer: navigation, newsletter form, payment icons, Follow on Shop and country/language selectors.

Collection and product pages

Collection page: products are shown in a grid with title, price, unit price where available and a sale badge where a compare-at price applies. Customers can sort and filter by availability, price, type, vendor and variant options.

Product page: title, vendor, description, price, compare-at price and unit price are shown. Customers pick size and colour, change quantity and add to cart. Variant changes update the price and image. Product recommendations appear below the main product section where Shopify returns them.

Custom Liquid section and Custom Liquid block are available for small custom additions. Duplicate your theme before editing code.

Cart and checkout

Cart page shows line items, quantity, options, discounts where they apply and a checkout button. Accelerated checkout buttons are shown where enabled. ShopGlow themes do not change checkout itself. Checkout, taxes and shipping are set in Shopify admin.

Colours, fonts and images

  • Colours: use the Theme settings colour system. Every background colour has a matching foreground colour. Keep body text contrast readable.
  • Fonts: use the font picker in Theme settings.
  • Images: use clear, well-sized images. Product images in different ratios will not break the grid, but consistent ratios look cleaner.

FAQ

Does a ShopGlow theme need an app to work?

No. ShopGlow themes work without apps. App blocks can be added where the theme supports them.

How do I change the home page?

Open Customize, pick the home page template, then add, remove or reorder sections.

My product image looks different on mobile.

Check the image ratio and focal point in the image settings, and preview on mobile in the theme editor.

Can I use a theme for a different kind of store?

Each theme is designed for the niche on its page. It will work for other catalogues, but its layout and defaults are built for that niche.
